» KKU Cooperates with Embassy of Japan, Bangkok- organized The 20th Japan Education Fair in Khon Kaen to exchange knowledge and educational innovation in 21st Century (1693 Views)

On March 12, 2021 at the Edtrial Room, 4th floor, Faculty of Education. Khon Kaen University cooperates with the Embassy of Japan in Thailand organized the 20th Japan Education Fair in Khon Kaen. This activity aimed to introduce study abroad at famous universities in Japan, operated by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) and the Japanese Government Scholarship (MEXT), also to prepare students and those who are interested in studying in Japan. Moreover, to support the exchange academic research between students, staff, researchers,faculties, and educational institutions. In this event, was honored by Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, delivered a welcome speech and  Assoc. Prof. Sumalee Chaijaroen, Dean of the Faculty of Education reported the objective of the event and Mr. Kuba Masaharu, First Secretary, Embassy of Japan delivered the opening speech,  together with Khon Kaen University administrators from Faculty of Education, Demonstration School of Khon Kaen University and representatives from the Embassy of Japan in Thailand.  In addition, at the event, there are leading universities from Japan providing online education guidance, including Kyoto University, Nagayo University, Tokai University, The University of Electro-Communication to high school at the Northeast are, as well as study life sharing experiences from alumni and there are a limited number of approximately 50 participants due to the Measures for COVID-19 Infection Prevention.

Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs said “ It is my privilege to address you, and to welcome you most delightfully at Khon Kaen University today. This event is the culmination of an enormous collective effort which began some years back by the Japan Embassy in Bangkok,Japanese Alumni Club of KKU and Faculty of Education, KKU to promote the Japan Higher education system to students and education stakeholders in Thailand and since then they have been providing the service through Japan Education Fair. Khon Kaen University has strenghtened a good relationship with the Embassy of Japan, Bangkok for co-organizing the 20th Japan Education Fair. On behalf of Khon Kaen University, we would like to thank the Embassy for providing our lecturers, staff, and students with the valuable information towards exploring possible opportunities of developing academic and research collaborations with prestigious institutions and universities in Japan.

The year of 2020 will be remembered as a year that changed the world, with the spread of the covid-19, countries are implementing emergency plans to slow down and limit the spread of the virus and prepare for a possible longer term disruption of school and university attendance. Every University has planned appropriate both short and long term measures to handle teaching and learning in the classroom to protect the spreading of disease.This is a strong stress test for education systems today. In organizing this activity , Khon Kaen University foresees this a good opportunity to learn about the opinion of the representative from the leading study institutes in Japan in handling education administration nowadays. On behalf of KKU, it is our pleasure to extend our gratitude to those who whole-heartedly cooperated and helped to organize the event this time. We hope that the activities of today will be successful in view of the objectives of all those who help to organize.”
