» ASEAN Study Center of KKU organized conference “Railway Transportation during China- Laos- Thai” to support the ASEAN economics (1614 Views)

On June 22, 2021 at Toong Sri Meung Conference Hall, Centara Hotel and Convention Center Udonthani, the ASEAN Study Center of KKU organized the conference on the topic of “Opportunities and Challenges on the ASEAN Economics Movement: Case study on the Railway Transportation China –Laos – Thai” and the Role of the Industrial Estate of Udonthani”. This auspicious occasion was honored by having Mr. Siam Sirimongkol, Udon Thani Governor to preside over the opening ceremony and give a welcoming address to the attendees, together with Mr. Wonchai Junporn, Deputy Governor and Mr. Weeraphong Tengrangsan, President of The Federation of Udon Thani Industrial. From KKU’s side, this conference was honored by the attendance of Assistant Professor Dr. Acharawan Topark-ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs of KKU to give a briefing of the conference.

The conference had the special speaker, Mr. Thapana Boonyapravith, President of Thai Associations for Town Planing and the member of National Charter also with Dr. Phaijith Wiboonthanasarn, Vice President and Secretary of Thai – Chinese Chamber of Commerce. According to the conference has aimed to be the first pilot project to cooperate and reunite the Education institutes, Communities and Private sectors for collaboration and to support the national policy strategic on trading between Thai and China. Also, the railway and logistics will be the opportunities and challenges for Thailand and the Private sector in the northeastern region of Thailand, such as the commerce, trading, transportation and travel services.
