» 3 Countries 3 Perspectives 3 Brothers & Sisters of the “Pimpila Family” share life experiences of Alumni abroad with KKU students. (1439 Views)

The Student Affairs and Alumni Relations Division, Khon Kaen University, arranged a learning space for KKU students, by inviting the KKU alumni “Pimpila Family” to tell and share their experiences on learning, working and living abroad in 3 Countries, 3 Perspectives from 3 Siblings via zoom meeting on Friday 27th August 2021. More than 200 students and alumni joined this activity.

Mr. Papangkorn Pimpila (P’ Kaen), manager of a dairy farm with over 8,000 cows on an area of 40,000 rai in New Zealand.
Mr. Chinnakorn Pimpila (P’ Dookdik)-KKU42, a teacher who received a cultural-language exchange scholarship in Australia.
Ms. Sujitra Pimpila (P’ Kratai)-KKU48, who decided to work and study in the USA.

This exchange activity aimed to give KKU students the opportunity to learn about real life experiences from alumni, with exciting perspectives to build the relationship between seniors and juniors, and to motivate and inspire students to spend life abroad. After the meeting ended, there were suggestions from the participants to gain experience about life during the study, self-development, inspiration, learn about how to prepare when going abroad, the visa application process and document preparation, the differences in visa criteria for each country and ways to study or pursue a career abroad.

Ms. Juthamas Thomyotha, a student of Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, learned that going to travel or work abroad depends on yourself (plus a little luck). The visa is very important, because if it’s not approved, we can’t travel. Language is another issue. If actually living abroad, language needs to improve. Listening to the alumni makes me want to go. If I were fortunate, then I would be able to go to a foreign country like P’ Kaen. I now realize that, if you really want to go live abroad, then you have to meet the criteria to get a visa and documents need to be prepared with the embassy. So, thanks to the Pimpila family for sharing this experience.”

Thank you Pimpila family for taking the time to share your knowledge and experience with KKU students. For those who missed joining this activity, you can re-watch via these channels :
