  Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn provided the occasion for the Project Management Committee to have an audience with HRH the King of Thailand, to report about the results the Royal Scholarship under Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Education Project to the Kingdom of Cambodia. According to the Royal initiative, along with leading the administration of educational institutions, faculty members and students of the royal scholarship academic years 2018 - 2021, to have an audience with HRH, online at the Sra Pathum Palace meeting room, Pathumwan district, Bangkok. 

On Thursday, September 16, 2021, at 17.30 hrs. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn provided the occasion for General Vichit Yathip, the committee chairman of the Royal Scholarship under Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Education Project to the Kingdom of Cambodia. Also H.E. Ouk Sorphorn, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia in the Kingdom of Thailand, Mr. Thani Thongpakdi, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, along with the Committee Board, had an audience with HRH the King of Thailand, to report the progress and operating results of the project during the year of 2020 until the present. Additionally, Her Royal Highness granted royal permission to administrators of 37 educational institutions, to lead the faculty and royal scholarship's students of the academic years 2018 - 2021, with a total of 855 persons approached to pay respect to His Majesty the King online.

On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President, along with KKU administrators, lecturers, and students of the HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Scholarship Project, a total of 26 persons, attended to pay respects to His Royal Highness online at Sirikunakorn building 3, 2nd floor, Khon Kaen University.  

The ceremony began by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn arrived at Sa Pathum Palace meeting room. Then H.E.Ouk Sorphorn, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia in Thailand, attended to offer the souvenir and subsequently reported to His Majesty the King. General Vichit Yathip, committee chairman of the Royal Scholarship under Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Education Project to the Kingdom of Cambodia, informed His Majesty the King of Thailand and reported the results of operations of the Royal Scholarship student project. 

   Next, General Athikom Suksomsathan informed institutional administrators, lectures, and students of the Royal scholarship's in the academic years 2018 - 2021. He attended to pay respects to His Majesty the King online. There were 6 groups, of which Khon Kaen University was in the 1st group number 8. 
Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, informed to report. After that, representatives of Royal Scholarship students from each institute opened flower cones, incense and candles to express their gratitude to His Majesty the King. Finally, Her Royal Princess Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn gave royal guidance online.

     

The Royal Scholarship under Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Education Project to the Kingdom of Cambodia has continuously operated since the year 2011. Originated from the wishes of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to develop a quality education system for Cambodian youths, and a lasting royal gift to the people of the Kingdom of Cambodia who have been friends with the country for a long time. The implementation of the past project has improved the relationship and cooperation between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Cambodia, both in government, private and public sectors, causing the development of a new generation of qualified personnel of more than 800 persons, who have gradually been returning to develop the Kingdom of Cambodia. The success of this project is proof that this project is a genuinely enduring gift.
