On 22 September 2020, at 10:00 a.m. a team of Khon Kaen University administrators, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Acharawan Topark-ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, together with Khon Kaen University faculty administrators welcomed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kannikar Sajkul, Chairperson of the Scholarship Management Working Group, and Dr. Duangkamol Bangchuad, Member and Assistant Secretary of the Scholarship Management Working Group on the occasion of online discussing and listening to suggestions on problems of the scholarship management via zoom cloud meeting.

The promoting and development to the people of the neighboring country to build relationships and mutual understanding between countries, is one of the important missions of Khon Kaen University. The online visit of the scholarship management committee is a good occasion to meet and discuss with KKU students, executives and instructors. Khon Kaen University is pleased to collaboratively develop and encourage the studying and teaching for Cambodian students.
Between 2012 and 2021, Khon Kaen University has provided educational opportunities by presenting scholarships to the HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Education Project to the Kingdom of Cambodia to award scholarship to Cambodian students, totaling 9 years. There are 118 Cambodian students received this scholarship, of which 86 students have graduated and 29 students are still studying, including master's degree students and doctoral degree students. In 2020, Khon Kaen University awarded scholarship to 3 students, and in 2021, 9 students have been given the scholarship. They have started to study together in July 2021.
