On November 18, 2021, at reception room 6, 6th floor, Sirikunakorn Building, Khon Kaen University, H.E. Mr. Remco Johannes van Wijngaarden, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Kingdom of Thailand met with the administrators of Khon Kaen University led by Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, who delivered a welcome speech, together with Assoc. Prof. Nawarat Wara-Aswapati, Vice President for International Affairs, Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, and Mrs. Wilawan Ungsunantawiwat, Director of International Affairs Division welcomed the ambassador. In addition, this was his excellency’s first visit, and during the meeting, discussions were held on cooperation in education and other collaborations in the future.
Khon Kaen University has research cooperations and exchanges of students with many educational institutions in the Netherlands, such as Leiden University, and has supported the education for lecturers and researchers to study abroad. At present, there are more than 10 graduates who graduated from educational institutions in the Netherlands, as well as having exchanged more than 50 persons for study and research during the past 3 years.
