Researchers from the University of Oxford, England, together with researchers at the Faculty of Medicine Khon Kaen University, received funding from Wellcome through the Enriching Engagement Grants Scheme (England) to implement social contribution projects.
Dr. Thomas Crellen, Nuffield Department of Medicine Big Data Institute, University of Oxford together with Prof. Dr. Arporn Wangwiwatsin, under the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Medicine and International Phenomenology Laboratory of Khon Kaen University Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute Khon Kaen University received an Enriching Engagement scholarship from Wellcome through Public Engagement with Research, University of Oxford to implement the project “Food, health and livelihoods in northeast Thailand.”
This project will focus on studying and understanding the way of life of people in the community and developing cooperation with agencies and organizations to expand the research results and integrate high-technology research to enhance the sustainability of health and well-being of communities in the Northeast. This is in line with the work of Social Devotion of Khon Kaen University.
