On Monday, February 28, 2022 at 4 p.m. Khon Kaen University held the opening ceremony of the project "KKU Smart flower farm 2022". Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, president of Khon Kaen University presided over the opening ceremony, along with his wife Dr. Uanchit Panthongviriyakul, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Darunee Jothityangkoon, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Vice Chancellors, Assistant to the President, Dean, department administrators, faculty members, media and honored guests who attended the ceremony in large numbers at the Tourism Agricultural Plot in the south of the Agricultural Technology Park, Khon Kaen University.
The "KKU Smart flower farm 2022" project this time is a flowerbed of the innovative agricultural assembly, field of study in Innovative Agriculture, Faculty of Agriculture, Khon Kaen University. Its purpose is to create a positive attitude about entrepreneurship, to create hands-on experiences from practice and integration of teaching and learning, including creating a good image of the Faculty of Agriculture and Khon Kaen University for the general public to get to know more.
“As for the flowers that we planted, they all have good meanings. Whether it's a Cutter flower as an additional flower to make other flowers stand out. The organizers therefore often liken the cutter flower as a flower that is secretly in love with someone, anonymously, but firmly. It’s like saying that, even if you don't care about me, I’m fine. No matter what, you'll always have me by your side.
The Sunflower symbolizes confidence, stability, one-sided love, and Cosmos, symbolizing the peace, determination, and purity of a young woman. In addition to the good meaning of flowers, the equipment that we use to decorate the place and the plots are also well planned. For example, the white bush cutters are taller. Therefore, we have added the higher floor to make it easier to take pictures for those who visit the plot. In the plot of the purple cutter, there will be many different shapes of mirrors, creating dimensions in photography. Under the tree we will tie a ribbon and a dream catcher arch. In the fields of Cosmos there will be a triangular arch. It is believed that tourists who come to see these works will be refreshed, and definitely be impressed.”
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Darunee Jothityangkoon, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Khon Kaen University said that the "KKU Smart flower farm 2022" project is one of the important projects of the Faculty of Agriculture. It is a new Land Mark of Khon Kaen University and Khon Kaen Province that is waiting to be visited by people who love nature, love photography, and love the color and beauty of various types of flowers” .
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, president of Khon Kaen University said “From the student’s report, the chairman of the Agricultural Innovation Association. I greatly appreciate the cooperation and creativity of the students, who have foreseen the importance of agro-tourism and have worked together to turn the empty area of the faculty into a beautiful, new landmark of Khon Kaen University”.
