Khon Kaen University organizes KKU Virtual Open House 2022 event to publicize and recruit international students. There are more than 80 courses, accepting both undergraduate and graduate students and more than 50 scholarships are available, both full and partial. This event was honored by Prof. Dr. Surasakdi Wongratanacheewin, Dean of the Graduate School who presided over the welcoming and opening remarks.

The event attracted a lot of attention from foreigners. On March 12, 2022, the target group was ASEAN Countries. At the event, 3 groups of Breakout Room Sessions were organized: Group 1: Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary Programs; Group 2: Sciences and Technology; Group 3: Health Sciences, offering participants the opportunity to inquire about courses, scholarships, research and teaching directly with faculty representatives from different faculties, and current foreign students from Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia and the Philippines.

Students participating in the event said “KKU Virtual Open House was a very interesting event. The faculty and staff who contributed had unique expertise and provided good educational information and advice. I sincerely hope that Khon Kaen University will continue to organize activities like this in the future.”
On March 13, 2022, the target group was Chinese students. More than 70 people attended the event and joined the activities with Dr. Chuanchen Bi, a professor from the Graduate School of Management. The programs were conducted in Chinese and English, to provide Chinese students with quick and easy access to educational information and student support from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Chinese majors came to help answer the Chinese Chat box. Throughout the 3 hours of activities, Chinese students inquired about the courses of study and the application process. Current Chinese students shared their experiences of studying and living at Khon Kaen University.
