On March 15, 2022 from 13.00-15.00 hrs. at Smart Classroom, 4th Floor, Institute for Research and Development of Teaching Profession for ASEAN, Khon Kaen University led by Assoc. Prof. Maitree Inprasit, Vice President for Education and Academic Services Khon Kaen University, acting on behalf of the Director of the Institute for Research and Development of Teaching Profession for ASEAN, presided over the welcome speech at the seminar "Development of Environmental Consciousness in Problem-Solving based on STEAM Education" in the project to create an environmental mindset by the use of STEM Education to solve problems. This is a collaboration within Khon Kaen University by the Institute for Research and Development of Teaching Profession for ASEAN and the Foundation for Education for the Development of Thinking Skills, together with Toyo System Co. Ltd. and The Mathematics Certification Institute of Japan, to exchange learning in STEM education, and to learn about innovation development and educational participation through world-class industrial companies for interested parties including university administrators, faculty members from different faculties, directors and teachers from different schools, academic studies and graduate students via “Zoom Meeting” electronic media system.
For this activity, there was also a special lecture on the topic “Corporate Social Responsibility” by Mr. Hideki Shoji, Chairman of the Board, President & CEO of TOYO SYSTEM Co. Ltd. as speaker, with an open discussion and a summary on the final lecture by the speaker Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maitree Inprasit to the participants of the seminar.
Assoc. Prof. Maitree Inprasit, Vice President for Education and Academic Services Khon Kaen University, acting on behalf of the Director of the Institute for Research and Development of Teaching Profession for ASEAN, said that this seminar was organized for the third time to raise environmental awareness by using STEAM/STEM Education to solve problems, to raise awareness on environmental problems by using learning development based on STEAM Education for students, teachers, lecturers, educational personnel and communities to promote and support lifelong learning.
