The International Affairs Division of Khon Kaen University (KKU) organized the “KKU Alumni Sharing” event under the topic “Working in Thailand: Opportunities and Challenges” on Saturday, July 5, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. via Zoom Meeting. The event was honored by the presence of Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for
International Affairs, who delivered the opening remarks and expressed appreciation to the guest speakers.
This initiative was designed to foster connections and facilitate knowledge exchange among KKU alumni, particularly those currently employed in Thailand. Asst. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan , lecturer from the department of Information Studies, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences was invited to share her perspectives on the opportunities and challenges encountered by foreigners working in Thailand. Discussion topics included essential professional skills, social and cultural differences within the Thai context, and strategies for effectively applying academic knowledge acquired at the university to real-world professional.
The event reinforced the university’s commitment to supporting alumni networks and promoting the sharing of practical experiences that contribute to professional development and intercultural competence.
