On June 12, 2017, Asst. Prof. Dr. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Cooperation presided over the Capacity Building for Supporting Staff Project 2017 together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Somsak Pitaksanurat, Dean of the Faculty of Public Health, Mr. Portart Pothinam, Director of ASEAN Languages Center, and Mr. Gurdeep Singh, IRD International Consultant. This project was organized under the aim of elevating and giving knowledge about international affairs and ASEAN Community to supporting staff who do work related to international affairs and international students from many faculties and organizations in KKU for their readiness for preparation towards ASEAN Community and internationalization. The activities included four special talks about knowledge in ASEAN cultures, international staff employment, VISA extension, and professional writing from ASEAN Languages Center, Division of Personnel, Khon Kaen Immigration, and Division of Communication Affairs. respectively. The participants will also join the English course training organized by International Relations Division to enrich their English skills. This project was in accordance with Khon Kaen University’ strategies for preparing KKU supporting staff to get ready for ASEAN Community and internationalization. The project will be held from June 12-23, 2017. The total number of participants was 57.
