On July 11, 2017, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kittichai Trirattanasirichai, President of Khon Kaen University together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Collaboration and Khon Kaen University’s administrators from the Faculty of Agriculture welcomed Dr. K. M. Buparbaruah, Vice Rector of Assam Agriculture University, India and his team on the occasion of their visit to Khon Kaen University in order to expand the academic collaboration between KKU and Assam Agriculture University, India. In this visit, Dr. K. M. Buparbaruah proposed to explore the possibilities of future collaborations with the Faculty of Agriculture in terms of sending the staff and students to study at KKU, interested in projects such as edible insects and Thai Eri Silk in the Faculty of Agriculture, KKU. During this visit, they also visited the Governor of Khon Kaen Province for introducing the Assam Agriculture University and to explore for new collaborative opportunities between Khon Kaen and Assam.
