» KKU and the U.S. Embassy in Thailand co-organize the presentation on “U.S. Education and Scholarship Opportunities” (3757 Views)

On October 11, 2017, International Relations Division, Khon Kaen University and the U.S. Embassy in Thailand co-organized the presentation entitled “U.S. Education and Scholarship Opportunities”  for lecturers, students, and staff of Khon Kaen University and other interested people. Ms. Netdao Chamroendararasmee, Acting Director of International Relations Division presided over the opening ceremony and gave a welcome speech to Ms. Candice LaPlante, Assistant Cultural Attache and an accompanying representative from the U.S. Embassy.

In this event, AUA Language Center in Bangkok also provided an English Proficiency Test for participants before the start of the presentation. This session was run by Ms. Natrudee Tanthawant, an AUA staff. After the English Proficiency Test, Ms. Candice LaPlante, Assistant Cultural Attache and Ms. Preeyawan Sakornyen, staff from the U.S. Embassy jointly gave a presentation on “U.S. Education and Scholarship Opportunities”.

The presentation was provided information on pathways for higher education in the U.S., types of scholarships for Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctoral Degrees. In addition, they also provided information on how to apply for scholarships and prepare for living in the U.S. Many interested participants attended the talk, and the scores of the English Proficiency Test was given to the participants at the end of the presentation. The participants who got high scores also got the gifts from the U.S. Embassy. This event was held at the Graduate School Conference Room, 4th floor, Bimala Kalakicha Building, Khon Kaen University.
